My Goals For September

I keep seeing loads of different bloggers sharing their goals for the month and it inspired me to start posting my own goals. I think its a great idea and a good way for you to stay motivated and accountable for your goals. These goals can be personal ones or blogging related goals. Im going to do a mixture of both.
Im currently doing a September challenge set by Youtuber Sam Ozkural that fitness, health and #Girlboss based but Im obviously not going to be doing the fitness challenges so instead on those days Im going to meditate. You can join her challenge too over on her website snosamo.com

Blog more consistently
So my first goal for September is to blog consistently. Im really aiming to stick to this goal because Ive been slacking for a long time on my blog. I've already sat down and planned out my content for the next 2 months so Im hoping I can actually stick to it. I plan on posting every Monday and Thursday and I might throw in the odd bonus post here and there. I cant wait to start posting more autumnal and winter content. *sips pumpkin spice latte* So if Im not posting consistently and I miss and upload feel free to shout at me!

Read a new book
So Im currently in the middle of reading You Are You A Badass by Jen Sincero and I love it. I highly recommend reading it if you like self help book or you need a little bit of a pick me up just to say "you know what? I am a badass!" But after I finish that book I want to start another one and finish it. I haven't decided yet which book I want to read next but I have a few in my library on my ipad. When I was a teenager I would spend so much time reading and I've gradually slowed down reading over the years and its something I want to get back into. Theres no better feeling than getting drawn into a story and taken to another world.

Drive on my own
I passed my driving test last November and Im embarrassed to say I havent been out on a proper drive on my own. In the beginning I was scared to go on my own and now its been almost a year and I still havent been. Now Im not scared to go by myself, I just havent gotten around to it. I love my car and Im lucky enough to own one so I need to make the most of it and go for spins alone.

Cut down on artificial sweeteners
A week or so ago I was watching someones vlog and he was speaking about how bad artificial sweeteners are for you and what they do to your body. I was shocked and disgusted! I never knew how bad sweeteners like aspartame is for you body and what it does to you in the long run. Im someone who loves to drink diet coke every other day and I would use sweetex instead of sugar in my tea and coffee. If you research it you'd be surprised at how many foods and drinks are pumped with these toxic chemicals. I am chronically ill and I've been trying to be more conscious of what Im feeding my body and after finding out so much about sweeteners I am adamant to cut it out of my diet as much as I can. I'd rather have the odd teaspoon of sugar in my coffee than pump those toxic chemicals into my body. So goodbye diet coke, chewing gum and sweetener!

Have a bedtime
I feel like a little child having this as one of my goals but my sleeping pattern is all over the place. Sometimes if Im not feeling well and Im having a flare up then I will be in bed sleeping by 7pm or I'll be awake on my phone until 1am. It really varies but I want to stick to a good bedtime so I can have a good night of sleep and let my body heal and rest. Im going to aim to be sleeping by 10-10.30pm every night.
