5 Makeup Brands I Want To Try In 2017| Sleek, Tarte & More

Friday, 6 January 2017

I swear the list of makeup brands I want to try out is never ending! I made a post like this last year and its really funny to look back on now because out of those 5 brands I only tried one out. haha! You can see that post here if you would like.

Im always wanting to try out new makeup brands and items. I think that just goes hand in hand with being a beauty blogger. The thing is though since Ive been blogging my urge to try new products has drastically grown which isn't good for my bank account. However, Ive come to the point now where I will only buy a makeup item that I really really want and have researched rather than just buying something for the sake of it.

Tarte
The first brand I am dying to try this year is Tarte. Ive been wanting to try some of their products for months now and I specifically have my eye on the 'Tartlette In Bloom Palette' because all of the shades are ones I would use daily but it has been sold out for months now. As soon as I get an email through saying its back in stock I am going to run to my laptop to buy it for myself. Another product of theirs I would love to try is their lipsticks. Scrap that, I want to try everything!!

Nars
Now Nars was on my list last year and I sadly still haven't tried any of their products. I would still love to try their blushes, concealer and tinted moisturiser. The only reason I haven't bought anything from Nars already is because of the steep price tag but Im going to save up this year for a couple of items I really want to try out.

Sleek
So many British bloggers rave about Sleek and somehow I haven't even tried one of their products. My sister loves their lipsticks and they have so many different shades out there. Their highlighter palette looks beautiful and so do their blushes and bronzers which are apparently a dupe for the Nars ones and they are far cheaper. Im really excited to try a couple of their makeup items!

Colourpop
The only reason why I haven't bought anything from Colourpop is because they are a US company and us Brits will all now the struggle of buying makeup from America. I have a friend who bought a Kylie cosmetics lip kit and the customs charge and delivery price was almost double the cost of the lip kit to begin with and she was gutted. I am terrified of ending up with a ridiculous customs charge so thats why Im unfortunately not an owner of those beautiful liquid lipsticks. To be honest the only thing Ive seen from Colourpop that I would love to try is their liquid lipsticks, that look completely beautiful btw. But maybe one day this year I will bite the bullet and place and order to make me a proud colourpop liquid lipstick owner.

Makeup Revolution
Every time I walk into Superdrug I am drawn to the Makeup Revolution section. Ive bought some of their products for gifts before but never for myself. Their highlighter palette is at the top of my list right now. Im crazy about highlighter if you haven't guessed already! They also have some amazing looking lipsticks that start at £3, what a bargain?!!

What is a brand of makeup you want to try for the first time in 2017?

  3. ColourPop is a must the highlighters are insanely good and so are the Ultra Satin Lips. From MUR I can 100% recommend the NewTrals vs Neutrals Palette and the Ultra Pro Glow Palette both are so good!

  4. I think the trouble is.... with new brands popping up throughout the year, it's difficult to stick that list. I'm with you with ColourPop! The custom fees are insane and is why I haven't bothered ordering from them. I love Tarte too! I have a few products from them. I assume you know you can get some bits from QVCUK! I'm totally with Emmy with regards to the Newtrals vs Neutrals palette. It's gorgeous! xx

  7. I totally understand you! This year I would like to finally try the Sleek highlighting palette and RCMA no color powder. When I had the chance to try something from Tarte I didn't take it and now I would kill myself for that. :D Good luck with purchasing all these brands. ;)

  13. I'm the same with the never ending list of beauty products being added to different wish lists, it's been growing for about 3 years.. Yikes! I suppose that's the blogger in me aha, Makeup Revolution are amazing, I find their eyeshadow palette's to be very similar to the likes of the Urban Decay Naked's, but at such an incredibly affordable price!! Their highlighter is honestly better than some high end brands I've tried too! One brand I'm really hoping to try this year would be Chantecaille, pricey, but sooo pretty! Lovely post :-)
