A Small Makeup Haul

Tuesday, 6 December 2016

(sorry for the awful photos, thats what happens when I dont take advantage of the daylight hours..)
Im back at it again with another mini makeup haul! Over black Friday and Cyber Monday I found it very hard not to buy any new makeup and it was going well until Debenhams had a sale for cyber Monday. Ive been wanting to save up so I can buy some Christmas presents and to just save up in general but I can never say no to makeup..

So I took advantage of the sales and I finally got my hands on some makeup products I have been desperate to try for ages. I didn't feel quite as bad because they did have some money off... Does anyone else feel like having a little bit of discount justifies buying a £15 lipstick and concealer or is that just me?

The first thing I had to add to my basket was the Benefit 'Hoola Bronzer'. I cant believe it has taken me this long to actually buy this bronzer because I have wanted to try it for almost 6 years now! But for some reason I just never bought it as Im not usually the biggest fan of bronzers. I love the whole bronzed and warm look this winter because I am pretty pale so adding that bit of colour back in to my face makes me look more alive and less corpse like. This bronzer is extremely pigmented so a little bit goes a long way and its a gorgeous matte finish so you can use it as a contour as well as a bronzer. Ive found that it is really nice to contour my big ol' nose with because it actually looks natural and it does last longer than other bronzers I have tried in the past. Its already a favourite of mine and I have barely used it.

Kat Von D 'Everlasting Liquid Lipstick' in the shade 'Lolita'
These liquid lipsticks sounded incredible and so many bloggers and youtubers like the beautiful Shaaanxo (Im obsessed with her!) swear by them so obviously I had to test it out for myself and Ive been wanting to try out Kat Von D makeup for such a long time. I expected this shade to be a little bit lighter than it is but I its a shade that I will still wear.  Its a very deep plum/pink shade and Ive worn it once and it doesn't smudge one bit and thats something Im really not use to with a liquid lipstick so its really nice not having to reapply every time you drink something. Once I wear it more often and for a longer period of time I will definitely give my full thoughts on it but as of right now I want to buy more of the shades. 'Bow and Arrow' is at the top of my wish list this Christmas- it is so beautiful!

Urban Decay 'Naked Skin concealer' in the shade 'Fair Neutral'
Im am so happy to finally own this concealer! Ive been wanting it for months now but every time I went into Debenhams to buy it they never had my shade so when I saw that it was in stock online I added it straight to my basket. When they say that this is a full coverage concealer boy do they mean full coverage! I have really dark under eye circles and I can never find anything that covers them up completely but this concealer actually does. I wouldn't say its weightless like it claims to be but its definitely a great concealer that lasts all day and doesn't crease as long as you set it.
