2017: My Personal Goals For The New Year

How cute is this banner from Bloomingville.com?!!

In less than two days we will be saying goodbye to 2016 and Im sure a lot of people cannot wait to wave bye to this challenging and life changing year. Ive had a pretty 50/50 year. Ive had some really great highs and some really crappy lows. Ive been able to travel, been to loads of incredible concerts and I conquered a lot of my fears but Ive also had a lot of different lows. Ive been battling a lot with my illness towards the second half of the year and its made me appreciate all of the highs that came just before my flare up.

I specifically named this post my goals for the new year because rather than new year resolutions. I find that resolutions are something that is forgotten by the end of January and Im a firm believer that every day is a fresh start and you don't need to wait for a new year to make a change. Im always making new goals for myself and if you want something you should aim for it now.

Take and pass my driving test
My goal last year was to take and pass my theory and I did that back in March on my first go *woop*  and this year I want to pass my driving test asap. Ive been driving for over a year now but Ive only had a handful of lessons- thanks to my illness, so hopefully this year will be better and I can pass before summer.

Visit Barcelona and Edinburgh
These two cities have been on my travel list for years now. Fingers crossed I'll be going to the both of these places by the end of 2017, we've already got things planned out in rough.

Read 15 books
Ok, so this has been one of my goals for the past 2 years and I have failed both times. This year Ive only read 7 books..But in 2017 I am going to hit that goal and I have a list of books Im going to read. Let me know if you would be interested in book reviews because I personally love those kind of blog posts.

Pierce my helix and second ear holes
Fun fact, Ive had my first holes pierced twice the first time I was around 6 and they got really badly infected so when I was 10 I got them re-pierced and they have been fine since. Ive been wanting my helix and second holes pierced for the last 4 years and I have never gone for it mainly because I have a tendency to faint nowadays quite easily and for that reason no one will go with me to get it done and I am not going on my own to get it done. I just need someone to hold my hand OK!

Practice more mindful meditation
Im not sure if Ive touched on this before on my blog but I do mindful meditation and I have for the last 3-4 years mainly to help with my anxiety and depression. I use to practice it daily for a few months but I have stopped over the last 2 years doing it as frequently and I really must get back on it. I was really iffy about starting it a couple of years ago but it really does help with a lot of things. I may do a whole series about it on my blog if thats something you would be interested in.

Look into healing crystals
Ever since I was a little girl Ive been intrigued by crystals and their healing powers. It all started when one of my childhood best friends mother showed us her collection in her bedroom and recently a few of my favourite youtubers have been talking about them and it re-sparked my interest in them. And with all of my health problems I think it would be good for me to look into these and I find it really interesting.

What are some of your goals for 2017 and how was 2016 for you?
