10 (more) places to visit before you die

Wednesday, 5 October 2016

I am such a wannabe traveller. Although I have traveled a little bit, its no where near as much as I would like to. If I could, I would have a minimum of 6 foreign holidays a year! But, I don't have an unlimited bank account and the best health so right now thats off the cards. *cries*

Back in December I did a post on 10 places to visit before you die because I am the biggest wanna be traveller. That post went down really well so I'm doing a part 2 to that post now with an extra 10 places to visit. You can read part 1 here if you missed it.

1. Reykjavik, Iceland
There are so many attractions in Reykjavik that are so different to some here and that is what attracts me the most to the capital. The Blue Lagoon and the Northern Lights are the two main things that draws me to Iceland. The Blue Lagoon is the most visited tourist attraction in Iceland and thats all you need to do is look at pictures of it to understand why.

2. Auckland, New Zealand
Ever since I was a little girl Ive wanted to visit New Zealand mainly because my dad wants to. Auckland have some beautiful beaches, 48 extinct volcanos (so cool!) and lots of waterfalls. It also has a very busy city life so you get the best of both worlds there.

3. Edinburgh, Scotland
Scotlands capital is world famous for its beautiful castle and breathtaking views. I am hoping I get to go on a weekend break there next year and the flight from Cardiff to Edinburgh is just over an hour long which is nothing really.

4. The Maldives
I blame EmTalks for my urge to visit the Maldives. Her posts and photos on her trip there are gorgeous! I think this is the perfect honeymoon spot if you have the money. The bright blue sea is something that instantly sells me on this place and the little bungalows on the water!

5. Las Vegas
Who doesnt want to visit Vegas? The whole night life side of it is what really intrigues me. I have never been to a casino but it seems so exciting and Vegas would be the perfect place to have that first time. Obviously Vegas is known for its nightlife but I think I would be most excited about the shopping, restaurants and all of the cliche tourist attractions.

6. Saint Lucia
Saint Lucia is in the eastern Caribbean sea and is home to volcanic beaches, little fishing villages, steep mountains and luxury resorts.

7. Monaco
Theres something so grand and fancy about the thought of visiting Monaco. Its known for its casinos, luxe hotels and of course the Grand Prix. Of course if you were in Monaco you would have to visit the Monte Carlo quarter!

8. Cancun, Mexico
Cancun is on of the most eastern points of Mexico. Its obviously in a tropical climate so the weather is always beautiful and the sea is always warm. Now that sounds like a dream! They even have an underwater museum!

9. Prague, Czech Republic
This city is known for its old town square and old buildings. The city is full of old Churches, pubs and you can visit the castle, old museums and even Prague zoo. Like Monaco, theres just something so grand about the thought of visiting Prague.

10. Byron Bay, Australia
Byron Bay is one of the more relaxed areas of NSW. Its full of regional markets, national parks and beautiful beaches. Its the perfect getaway for adventurous people. They have hot air balloon rides, surf lessons, horse riding and between the months of June and November you can go humpback spotting! Byron has an array of different shops and restaurants, so its ideal for foodies like me.

Where are some places you want to visit before you die and have you ever been to some of these countries? Obviously I have a thing for hotter and more tropical climates but who wouldnt like that?!

  9. omg, how exciting that you mentioned NZ. Living in Auckland is one of the best things and I actually live like 10 minutes away from a beach which is one of the nicest things during the Summer because you can just walk down there! I also really wanna visit the Maldives one day, it seems like an amazing place to stay!
