3 products to fix a bad skin day

Tuesday, 13 September 2016

We all know those days when you wake up and look in the mirror and you have the biggest spot on your face (or multiple spots which is even worse) and you just want to crawl back into bed and hide for the rest of the day.
But fear not my stressing daisies, I have listed my top 3 skincare products for those dreaded days.

Lush mask of magnaminty - £6.25 for 125g
This mask has been a massive game-changer for my skin. I used this mask over the weekend because my skin was spotty and I had some dry patches around my nose and immediately after rinsing it off, my skin felt ten times cleaner and softer and any angry blemish I had went down in size and redness thanks to the peppermint oil and honey. Lush describes it as "a minty, multi-purpose mask with a gentle yet effective ingredients to help maintain your magnificent skin"

Liz Earle cleanse and polish hot cloth cleanser- £14 for 100ml
If you're after something thats gentle but gets the job done then you need to buy this cleanser. After hearing so many people raving about it for so long I finally bought a bottle out of my boots points. I actually hauled it here if you would like to see it. I have used this every day I have worn makeup since I bought it and any day where I just want a pick-me-up. I will take off the bulk of my makeup with a baby wipe or with the Garnier micellar water and then massage a 1-2 pumps of this into my face and neck before wiping it of with a warm cloth. The eucalyptus essential oil, cocoa butter and soothing chamomile cleanses the skin, removes all traces of makeup (even waterproof mascara) and its suitable for every skin type.

Coconut oil
Im pretty sure everyone and their mother uses and raves about coconut oil now and rightly so because it is life changing! Ok, maybe not life-changing but its very close. I wrote a post a couple of months ago with some of my favourite uses for coconut and you can read it here if you missed it. I use it on my hair, face and body because aside from it being natural its also antibacterial. If I have a spot on my face that is starting to heal, I will dap (I literally dabbed after I typed that...LOL) a little bit of coconut oil on the spot and it help to prevent that dry and crustiness that happens when a spot is healing.  The only thing I'd say about using coconut oil on your face is don't use too much and not too often or it will clog your pores and defeat the whole purpose.

What are some of your holy-grail skin products for bad skin days?
