La Roche-Posay Targeted Breakout Corrector

I mentioned how much I wanted to try out this spot treatment in my skincare wishlist post. I had never found a spot treatment that actually worked. I had tried clean & clear, freederm- you name it I tried it. But after reading about this cream I just had to try it! And when I saw that it was on offer at Boots I knew I needed to get it.

Although my skin has gotten a lot clearer over the last couple of months, I still do get breakout- some of them are killer volcanoes! I have been using this on breakout for the past two weeks now and it is great.

According to the boots website, "effaclar A.I. is an intensive local skincare treatment that purges imperfections in-depth to accelerate their resorption and prevent residual skin marking:
Niacinamide stops the development of the breakout.
The piroctone olamine/glycacil combination purifies the seat of bacterial activity to resorb skin imperfections.
Micro-exfoliating LHA and repairing La Roche-Posay thermal spring water, activate the skin regeneration process."

Price- £9.50 for 15ml

Overall rating- 10/10

Whats your favourite spot treatment?

March Favourites

I cant believe how fast this month has gone! I turned 20 last week & I passed my theory test first time round- a good month if you ask me! And as always, I wanted to share my March favs with you all.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette
Too Faced have really won here with their palettes. I love the chocolate bar palette so much! I have been grabbing it over my Naked 2 and Morphe eyeshadows. The colour pay off is amazing and it smells delish- bonus! I have particularly been gravitating towards the shades crème brulee and marzipan.

La Roche-Posay targeted breakout corrector
I mentioned how much I wanted to try this treatment out in my skincare wishlist post (you can see it here) & my goodness I am so happy I bought it! This is the only spot treatment I have ever used that actually works. You can see & feel a difference a few hours after using this. It dries out the pimple & reduces the redness. Its just amazing! My 13 year old sister loves it too. So its great for teenage skin!

Morphe M441 blending brush
I hauled this makeup brush in here. I never really owned a fluffy blending brush before and I dont know how I did my makeup without one! It has completely changed my makeup routine. This is the fluffiest brush I own & its only £4.75.

Maybelline eye tattoo in on and on bronze
Im sure most of you know about this cream eyeshadow. Its a cult favourite in the blogging community & with good reason. The colour pay off is incredible & it works brilliantly as an eyeshadow base. I will grab this when I dont have as much time as I would like to get ready because it is so easy to use. I just set it with a similar colour and then blend it out and voila! Great eyeshadow in seconds!

Seventeen define & conquer contour kit on medium
Best! Contour! Kit! Ever! I am so impressed with this contour. If you want to find out more about this compact, I wrote a review on it a few posts ago. Click here to read it.

Rimmel Match Perfection foundation in 010 light porcelain
If you struggle to find a foundation thats pale enough for you, you should definitely try out this shade of foundation. It has 24hour moisture hydration and a pore blurring effect and gives invisible overage that lasts all day. I really do love this foundations, it is my go-to!

Real Techniques angled highlighter brush
I got this brush in a set for Christmas from my mum and dad. I've never owned a brush like this one before and I would be lost without it now. Its the perfect shape for highlighting the cheekbones and its really good for applying contour precisely before blending. And its great quality, like every other real techniques brush.

Make Up Geek foiled eyeshadow in Grandstand
BEST MAKEUP GEEK EYESHADOW! This foiled shadow is incredible. You only need to use the littlest bit of shadow its so pigmented. I have never used an eyeshadow that is so pigmented! Its a lovely dark bronze shade. Its great as a lid colour or even blended out in the crease. Every time I wear this shadow I get compliments on it.

Anna Saccone for Stilnest Aries necklace in Silver
I blogged about this necklace when I got it at the end of 2015. I still love this necklace and I wear it as often as I can. It goes with everything and the quality is great. I'd love to but the rose gold version. You can check out my blog post all about this necklace here.

My birthday cake
As it was my birthday this month, I just had to include my birthday cake in my favourites. My sister baked me this tummy cake inspired by Tiffany & Co. And she added my favourite on top for decoration- mini marshmallows! Yumm!!

What are some of your favourites from this month?

Advice For New Bloggers- 5 things I've learnt about blogging.

Starting out a blog can be very daunting, I kept putting it off for 5+ years! But when I finally found the confidence to start one I wish I had done it years ago. I havent been bligging for too long but here are some great things I have learnt so far.

Must Have Foundations For Fair Skin

Happy Easter!! I use to have a nightmare trying to find a foundation that was pale enough for me in the winter. I have pale skin with pink undertones so it is quite hard to find a good foundation that doesnt look orange on me!! But these four foundations are amazing!

Must Have Spring Beauty

Spring has sprung! If you havent already gathered, I am very happy that winter is finally over! It seemed never ending! And as we do for each season, I've swapped up my beauty favs. I've already done a post all about my makeup must haves for spring. You can read it here.

Must Have Spring Makeup

A very happy goodbye winter! It is finally springtime! It has actually been sunny here the for last few days! *gasps*! And its finally time to bring out the pink lipsticks and coral blushers! Hooray! I've been sproosing up my makeup collection for spring and I thought it would be fun to share my essentials and favourite items with you all.

Seventeen contour kit- I have only recently got my hands on this and OMG it is amazing! By looking at pictures and seeing other peoples reviews of this palette, it looks almost identical to Nars Laguna bronzer. The packaging even looks the same. Seventeen have really upped their game recently with their products and the look. I love it!

What I've Been Listening To #1

(📷 taken by me @mcbusted tour 2014)

Todays post is a little different to my usual posts. But a fun fact about me, I LOVE music! I always have music playing & I will listen to pretty much anything and everything. These types of posts are great to show your personality and share some more of "me" on my blog. So I'm going to make this into a mini blog series & each post I will share 5 songs/albums of mine.

You can follow me on spotify @beccafletcher23

Work From Home- Fifth Harmony ft. Ty Dolla $ign
I love the 5H girls. I loved watching them on the US X Factor all those years ago and this song is the ultimate "get pumped" song. Perfect for workouts and partying and its super catchy. I cant even tell you how many times I have listened to this song. Also, you need to watch the music video for this song. It is HOT HOT HOT.

Lush Life- Zara Larsson
I think this is the catchiest feel-good song I have heard on the radio for a while now. Its another song I keep having on repeat. When I was actually sitting my theory test on tuesday I couldnt get it out of my head. Im lucky I still passed it with flying colours! Haha!

Little Mix- Get Weird
I have this album on my car right now and it is bloody great! To be honest thought, Little Mix never seem to disappoint with their music. My favourites are "hair" and "weird people". I feel like "weird people" is my life anthem. It makes me proud to be weird! LOL!

The Used- Artwork
I discovered this band properly sometime last year thanks to the gorgeous Calum Hood! This is perfect for those of you who like more "alternative" music or are fans of All Time Low, 5 Seconds of Summer and My Chemical Romance. I would listen to this album on spotify but I finally purchased it on itunes about a month ago. It is such a great record. I highly recommend listening to Empty With You and Kissing You Goodbye. They have such beautiful, meaningful and deep lyrics- I love it.

Twenty One Pilots- Stressed Out
I am so happy to hear this song on the radio now. Everytime I'm listening to the radio this song comes on. I have been listening to it for weeks and weeks and weeks now and Im still not sick of it.

I would love to know your favourite genre of music. What is one album you are jamming to right now?

Seventeen Define & Conquer contour kit

I actually got my hands on this contour kit. And my goodness, it was worth the wait. This kit is amazing. I kept walling past it but after reading so so many great reviews on it I jusy had to get it.

This compact retails for £5.99 but boots has a 3 for 2 deal on Seventeen right now so hurry up and get it. It has a huge mirror and it also comes with a handy card explaining how to use the powder & where to apply it. It comes in two shades- fair and medium.

•Pros
Doesnt look muddy or cakey
Very pigmented
Looks natural
Blends very easily
Lasts all day
Perfect for travelling
Affordable
Great quality

•Cons
The only con I can think of is it doesnt come in any many shades so itwon't suit   everyone. Hopefully they will come out with some darker shades sometime.

Rating - 9.5/10

Have you tried this contour kit? Let me know what you think of it.

Must Have Makeup For Fair Skin

Foundation & Concealer
Colourstay foundation in 110 ivory- If you're looking for a foundation that will last all day on your skin, this is the one! It matched my paleness perfectly. LOL! It blends in with my skin so so well, its like my skin but better!
Loreal infallible 24-hour matte in 10 porcelain- Im sure you've all heard about this foundation, but I am not the biggest fan of the formula but the colour selection is great! I use this foundation if I want to add a little bit more colour to my skin. Its slightly darker than the Revlon foundation which can sometimes make me look ghostly.

Blush
Mac Well Dressed- This is probably the oldest favourite of mine. I first bought this blush back in 2010 after Elle Fowler would rave about it. It adds the perfect amount of light pink to your cheeks without looking like you've been smacked in the face by Peggy Mitchell.
Makeup Geek Spellbound- If you like more of a coral-pink blush, this is the one for you. I only got this blush just over 2 weeks ago and I have worn it everyday since I got my hands on it. It is so pretty and you dont need a lot of it & its the only blusher that lasts all day on my skin. Yay!!

Bronzer/Contour
Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit- I tend to lean towards the middle shade from this kit. I find the highlighter isnt that pigmented and the right shade can look far too dirty on my skin. But the smallest amount of the centre shades works as a great contour shade. Just remember, a little goes a long way!
Bourjois Bronzing Powder- This bronzer is fantastic!! Im pretty sure everyone loves this bronzer and I can wear it when I am pale or tanned. It doesn't look muddy if you use a little bit and it brings the prettiest warmth to your face.

Lips
Loreal Paris Colour Riche lipstick in Blake's pure red - This is the perfect red lipstick. I think it suits all skin tones, especially us fair ladies. I love the contrast of fair skin and this bright red lip. Its the ultimate glamorous look.
Topshop lipstick in innocent- Sometimes finding a good pale pink lipstick can be hard. You don't want to look to washed out and this is the nicest lipstick for this. It is definitely my most worn pink lipstick for everyday wear.

What are some of your favourite makeup items for pale skin?

Top 3 Face Masks For Oily/Combination Spot-Prone Skin

There is nothing nicer than pampering your skin with a face mask. I am actually pretty good at remembering to do them now. Well done me! I was useless at doing them but since I started applying them often I have noticed a big difference in my skin and that makes me want to use them everyday! I have found my top 3 face masks that I just have to share with you all. And good news, they are all affordable. Woop woop!

Soap & Glory No Clogs Allowed Super Self-Heating Deep Pore Detox Mask - £11.50 for 100ml
This face mask is incredible! It claims to "deep clean and melts away pore-plugging sebum and softens keratinised skin cells to prevent breakouts and blemishes." This is the first self-heating mask I have tried and I love it. As soon as you start massaging it into your skin you can feel it starting to warm up and turn blue and it is the nicest feeling.  I notice a big difference in my skin straight after rinsing this mask off and you only need to leave it on for 5 minutes which is great for a quick skin rescue. I have to hide this from my sister because she loves it so much! #sisterprobz Hahaa!!

This is the ultimate mask for when your skin is breaking out and feeling "gross". And it is really cheap and is stocked in mose Boots shops.
Just dont go and scare anyone with your charcoal face. Funny story, I once scared my 6 year old brother to death (not really) when he walked in and saw me wearing this mask before bed. Haha!

If you have oily skin, this mask will completely change your skincare routine. The seaweed in this mask "draws out impurities, refreshes and clarifies the skin." And it another great mask for maintaining clear skin and for treating it when its freaking out. I dont usually use this face mask too often because it does burn my skin. So I definitely dont recommend this if you have very sensitive skin. But it is great as a spot treatment or for "multi-masking". I actually need to go and buy a new one.

What are some of your favourite face masks? What mask should I try out next? Please let me know :)

TGIF -Netflix & Chill

TGIF!! I am a huge netflix fan-who isnt?!! My idea of the perfect weekend is spending inside in the warm watching some good tv. There is nothing better.

Top 5 TV Shows

February Favourites

I actually cant believe its March already. This year is flying by!! And as always, I have a favourite post for you all.

Makeup & Beauty

Barry M lip paint in 168.
This is the ultimate creamy nude lipstick. My lips have been super dry and this has been the only lipstick thats helped keep them moisturised.

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub.
Can I just say this is the tastiest lip scrub! Haha! I always use to make my own scrubs but I am glad I bought this one because it works far better and is waayyy gentler than my homemade ones.
Its description is , "this sugary perfectly pink polisher keeps lips in tip top condition and tasting of candy floss."

No.7 Dramatic Lift mascara.
This has replaced my beloved Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara. I have always loved no.7 for mascaras. Everyone I have tried I ended up loving and this one is no exception. It does exactly what it says on the tube. Its says "lashes look lifted by 70% and add weightless volume for the ultimate wide awake look."

Soap & Glory heel genius.
This is the gratest foot cream in my oppinion. It smells nice and it actually works. My feet have been so dry and using his has been a life-saver. I just pop some of it on my feet before bed and put socks on and you will wake up with healthy hydrated feet.

Barry M Gelly in Passion Fruit.
I love this shade, its a gorgeous glossy coral-red. Perfect for summer time but Ive been wearing it now anyways to brighten things up a little. LOL.

Makeup Geek Blush in Spellbound.
I love this blush! Its by far my favourite blusher I have ever used and owned. It lasts all day and it is really pigmented. I hauled it here with some other MUG items if you missed it.

Benefit Erase Paste in no.1/fair.
This is an old favourite of mine. Its the best concealer for balancing out dark bags under your eyes. I get bad dark circles and this is the best concealer/corrector I have tried.
Tip: a little goes a long way!!

Non-beauty favourites.

Avocado on toast. I have been drying to try this out for months now, ever since Shaaanxo started daily vlogging. She always makes avocado, tomato, salt and pepper on toast and OMG it tastes amazing!!!

Making A Murderer. My sister kept telling me to watch this series and I am so glad I did. I am up to episode 7 and it is very addictive. It whole story is so interesting and you need to watch it if you are into any documentaries but its definitely not for the faint-hearted.

Pinterest. I am back to being obsessed with this website..again. I usually go through phases of liking Pinterest and right now I am always on it. You can follow me here- www.pinterest.com/beccafletcher23

I am now in love with this album. I treated myself to it on valentines day and I have had it on repeat ever since. Adele never fails to impress me. She is a beautiful talent!

Rihanna- Anti
This is a great album, I aw really surprised with how it sounded. Its a lot happier than most of her albums. My favourite track is definitely  Kiss It Better

Zayn- Pillow Talk.
Obviously I am going to include this. I think this has been everyones favourite, Ive not heard of one person not liking this song. Its so catchy and the music video is great, the effects are on a different level!
