Feeling Festive

18 days to go! I am the first to admit it, I am Christmas-crazy. I adore Christmas, it is my favourite time of the year. I'm going to be honest, I've been in the Christmas spirit for weeks now. I have been watching Christmas films and listening to Christmas music  since the beginning of November. So when Demember 1st came around, I was buzzing and I couldn't wait to decorate the house. I think I drove my Mum and sister mad! We have two Christmas trees in our house, one in the hallway and one big one in the living room (both artificial). Decorating the trees are my favourite part of this month, having them up instantly makes the house feel magical. And I love that me and my Mum and sisters do it together. Not going to lie, it does take us hours to put all of our decorations up we have so  many. But I thought I'd share some of our decorations..

Here are some of my favourite things to do in December to get into the Christmas spirit:-

1. Listen to Christmas Music (duh). My favourite thing to do is listen to Christmas playlists on Spotify whilst I'm tidying up. This is a great Christmas playlist to dance around to- https://play.spotify.com/user/spotify_uk_/playlist/64Op0QGofJxCKeNUqWTKZg
But, my absolute favourite thing to listen to is Michael Bublé's Christmas album. You can't get more festive than this.

2. Watch Christmas films. My top 5 are Elf, Christmas With The Kranks, Deck The Halls, Love Actually and Arthur Christmas. I suggest wearing a pair of your favourite pj's with a cup of tea and a warm blanket to really get cozy in front of the telly.

3. Counting down.

Whether it being with an advent calendar or a countdown app, I would suggest counting down to Christmas Day. I 100% advise you all to follow McFly singer Tom Fletcher on Instagram for some very festive posts. He counts down to the big day with his wife and his son. I just love him and his Instagram to be honest and it's just a plus that he is Christmas-mad too.

4. Wearing festive clothing whether it being pj's, socks or jumpers. I have recently bought a new Christmas jumper from Asda and it was only £14 and it came with a pair of Rudolph earnings. LOL. My little cousins are going to love those!

5. Baking mice pies. This is something we do nearer to Christmas. My Mum and Nana will always make a batch of mince pies. I am not the greatest fan of mince pies, but everyone other family member of mine loves them and they never last long in our house! Zoe Sugg recently put up a great blog post with a recipe to make mince pies.

6. Now this is my favourtie, adding fairy lights. I actually have fairy lights up around my bed frame year-round but adding them around the house around Christmas time makes a room extra cosy and because it gets darker early here it's a nice way to add some light. And you can add fairy lights anywhere to create a Winter vibe, you don't have to celebrate Christmas to put these up.

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas with loved ones (if you celebrate it). I cannot wait to spend the day with my family. ❤️

Love, Becca xoxo
