6 New Years Resolutions- Happy New Year!!

2016! I can't believe its almost the new year!  I am excited for this upcoming year, I have some exciting plans. I am happy to start off a new year. 2015 wasn't the best year for me, it was actually my worst health wise. I spent half of the year bed-bound which was horrible! So my biggest wish for this year is better health! But I have had some pretty amazing moments this year and I am so grateful for those.

I always set New Years resolutions. Last year my goal was to read 15 books..but I failed..miserably (I only got through 3 and a half books). So this year I am going to try and follow through with my resolutions/goals.

1. Read more. Like last year, I am going to aim to read 15 books. I use to be such a book worm when I was younger but as I got really ill in the last two years it's something I couldn't do and I forgot about honestly.

2. Pass my driving test. This is a little bit embarrassing, but I don't have my licence. I actually only drove for the first time in September '15 but I am aiming to pass my theory before my 20th birthday at the end of March. Wish me luck!

3. Step out of my comfort zone more. This is something I have actually been quite good at the past year but it's still something I need to keep doing. For example, last year I went out clubbing for the first time. I had this huge fear of going out for some reason.

4. Drink more water. I use to drink so much water but I have really been slacking lately. I feel rather sluggish and bleugh when I don't drink enough water and hopefully it will clear my skin up.

5. Travel. I want to visit a new place this year. I love exploring and travelling and I really want to see a new country this year.

6. Continue blogging. I have only had this blog since the end of November but I am enjoying it so much. I didn't think I would be enjoying it this much. It's so fun to talk to and meet new people who have the same interests as you do. It's a great way as well to share your thoughts and goals. It's like a little diary in a way.

Here are some of my favourite photos that hold some lovely memories from 2015.

I wish you all a beautiful and amazing new year. I am so excited for what 2016 will hold.

Lots of love, Becca xoxo

Must Have Soap & Glory Products

For the last few Christmases and Birthdays I have been given Soap and Glory gift sets. I love this brand, it's amazing quality products and they all smell yummy! I have narrowed down my favourites and made a must have Soap & Glory list.

Sugar Crush Scrub
Hand Food
Heel Genius
Clean On Me
Sugar Crush Body Buttercream
Butter Yourself
The Righteous Butter

I love the Sugar Crush Scrub. First of all it smells like citrus heaven and it does a brilliant job at getting rid of dead skin and old fake tan. This is definitely the best scrub I have used.
The Hand Food and Heel Genius are by far the best hand a foot cream I have ever used. I get bad dry hands in the winter and the Hand Food moisturises my hands without irritating them. And it smells like marshmallows. The Heel Genius is my favourite product in the Summer months. This cream is a bubblegum colour but it blends into a white cream when applied to the skin. I love to use this cream before bed and put on socks, then you wake up with smooth feet.
Clean On Me is such a luxurious feeling body wash.  I love it. It smells amazing, just like every other Soap and Glory product.
The Body Butters are so amazing. I cannot decide which one is my favourite, they are all great body butters and I can even use them on my skin when my eczema flares up. If I had to choose one I would have to pick Butter Yourself, thats just the one I tend to grab over the others.

What are some of your favourite Soap & Glory products? What are some other good brands like Soap & Glory worth trying?

Winter Beauty Essentials

The cold, wet and windy whether is well and truly here for the winter *sigh*. Honestly, when is the weather not like this in the UK?! Anyway, we all have to change up our products for a new season. In the winter I get dry skin but my skin is usually on the oilier side, so now I have to use less powders and a heavier moisturiser. I've made a list of some of my winter essentials.

First off, I adore Soap And Glory products for winter time. They have the nicest lotions, body wash and cremes and they smell delish! I really love the Hand Food and Heel Genius.

Hand Cream.
Now this is a must-have for me. My hands get so dry as soon as the whether gets slightly colder. I really love the Hand Food but my favourite hand creak is by Nivea. I actually carry a travel size Nivea cream in my handbag at all times, there is nothing more uncomfortable than dry itchy hands. Uch!

Lip Scrub.
I make my own lip scrubs. They are so easy to do and you don't need a lot of ingredients. I use olive oil, vanilla extract and sugar mixed together. I don't even measure them out, I just go by eye. It is literally that easy.

Burts Bees Lipbalm with Pomegranate oil.
OMG this Lipbalm should be in everyone's makeup bag. It is so hydrating and it has a slight red tint to it so that's great for minimal makeup days.

Hair masks.
My hair gets drier in the winter time so I do like to treat my hair to a nice mask everyone once in a while. I love the Loreal Elvive masks and the Aussie 2 minute miracle.

Soap and Glory Sugar Crush scrub and moisturiser.
I love the smell of this range. It's very citrusy and fruity; it has shea & cocoa nut balm, Lime and almond oils and kiwi waterjuice in it. To be completely honest I just 100% love Soap and Glory products because they all smell delicious and they aren't too expensive and you can find them quite easily. But the Sugar Crush scrub and moisturiser is definitely my favourite.

St Ives face scrub.
This is a scrub lovedby so many. I've read that Victorias Secret model Gigi Hadid is even a fan of this product. It is such a great exfoliant. It does a really good job of getting rid of dead skin cells without wrecking your skin and it smells like apricots and this doesn't have the beads that burst on your face like a lot of scrubs do, (I personally hate those kind of scrubs) this scrub has a grainy texture instead. Just make sure you apply plenty of moisturiser to your skin after you use this. Also, the face wipes are really nice!

Dove essential moisturiser.
This is something I need to re-purchase. I'm sure you all know how great Dove products are, I have used this brand for as long as I can remember. I am actually using the colour protect hair products right now. But the essential moisturiser is so good. I find that it makes my skin feel silky smooth. It's also really good to apply during your fake tan to maintain it because it is so thick.

What are your winter beauty essentials? Do you love a Soap and Glory Sugar Crush as much as I do? LOL. Let me know your favourite products and what I should try out next.

Love, Becca xoxo

Christmas Day Photo Diary

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas day. I had a crazy and fun-filled day eating yummy food, playing games and drinking with my family (there were 12 of us) followed by another fun family get together on Boxing Day.

Happy Christmas Eve everyone!

Spend or Save?

These kinds of posts and YouTube videos have been around for ages but I find them super useful. It's good to see people's opinions on high-end product before you think about investing in them. I get really annoyed if I pay a lot more money on a product of I can get something as good, maybe better for a fraction of the price. I hope these will be helpful for some of you.

Benefit Porefessional vs. Maybelline Baby Skin Primer
I have read lots of blog posts about the Maybelline primer being a dupe for the Benefit Porefessional so I went out and bought it. It is way cheaper than the Benefit one so you'd be stupid not to try it out. The textures are pretty much the same but I find that the longevity isn't as good as the Benefit one. Also, the Maybelline primer makes my skin a lot oiler. The Benefit Porefessional will make my makeup last for hours and it does a better job at smoothing out your complexion and filling your pores. So I'd have to say, spending the extra money on primer is a wise move.

5 Sleeps To Go....

OMG, 5 days until Christmas is here! YAY! I feel like this month has flown by, I never want the Christmas build up to end. Its the one time of year its completely acceptable to be a big-kid.  I can't wait to spend the day with my family (there will be 11 of us this year) eating yummy food, drinking wine and just having a great day. What are your plans for Christmas?

Top 10 Christmas Movies

Everyone loves a good old Christmas film! There is nothing nicer than cozying up on the sofa in your pj's with a mug of hot chocolate and watching a festive film. Here are my top 10 Christmas Movies:

Top 5 Nude Lipsticks

I love a good old nude lip, who doesn't?! It's easy to wear, suits everyone and it goes with any look. My go-to lip colour normally ranges from a light nude to a dark nude-brown. Here are my must have nude lippy's.

Bristol Christmas Maket

Yesterday, I spend the day in Bristol with my Nana, my Mum and my sisters. Bristol is an amazing city to shop in. The Primark there is HUGE! (But extremely stressful!) My favourite shop is the Yankee Candle shop, it smells heavenly.

10 places to visit before you die

That's my main life goal- travelling. I want to travel as often as I can to see as much of the world as I can. Who doesn't?

1. Sydney, Australia is at the top of my list. I have always had this fascination with Australia, it looks and seems so beautiful. I actually want to spend six months to a year living out there at some point of my life. It's something me and my friend have spoken about for years. It is our dream.

Feeling Festive

18 days to go! I am the first to admit it, I am Christmas-crazy. I adore Christmas, it is my favourite time of the year. I'm going to be honest, I've been in the Christmas spirit for weeks now. I have been watching Christmas films and listening to Christmas music  since the beginning of November. So when Demember 1st came around, I was buzzing and I couldn't wait to decorate the house. I think I drove my Mum and sister mad! We have two Christmas trees in our house, one in the hallway and one big one in the living room (both artificial). Decorating the trees are my favourite part of this month, having them up instantly makes the house feel magical. And I love that me and my Mum and sisters do it together. Not going to lie, it does take us hours to put all of our decorations up we have so  many. But I thought I'd share some of our decorations..

My Everyday Makeup (Winter 2015)

I love makeup. It is my favourite part of getting ready for the day. Although I do not wear a full face of makeup everyday I wanted to show you my "I'm-actually-leaving-the-house" makeup look.

During the Autumn and Winter months I like to wear more makeup. In the summer I never usually go past using one neutral shimmery eye shadow, a few coats of mascara, face makeup and lip balm. Boring I know!
For some odd reason, I have more confidence in wearing bold makeup during the colder months. This year, I have even taken the plunge and I have started wearing dark lips! This is mostly to do with me having braces and not having an overbite anymore (sucking my thumb as a child came back to bite me). Before having braces on, I would never ever dream of wearing a bright or dark lip because I was paranoid it would draw attention to my teeth and that was the last thing I wanted. But now I can proudly rock a coloured lip even with braces on.

A little bit of positivity.

Back in early November, I read and eye-opening and life changing article online by Andrea Schulman. I found it through someone I follow on Twitter and I am so happy to have seen this. This article is on . I'm going to 100% honest here and advise everyone to read this article asap.
